Research Presentations, Orchestra/Band Information, Thanking Veterans, and Creating Avatars... Out of order!

I am not sure why the pictures always upload out of order, but I am going with the flow. On Friday, we explored a new creation app/website called Pixton. We created our own avatars. With this app/website, we can create our own comics. The kids got a kick out that they all were taller than me for the class photo. :) We are learning new mindfulness strategies. These help us to "get back in the green zone" during the school day so we are ready to learn! Ms. Schippers came to our room to teach us about credible resources for researching. She also gave us strategies for how to search for specific items on Google. We learned how to find information on the bird "eagle" and not the band or football team. We stopped by the 5th grade inquiry fair on Friday. We listened to fifth graders present their topics. 4th graders went to the MPR to learn about band/orchestra with Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Friel. Information about band/orchestra will be in this week's Sunday Newsletter....
