Research Presentations, Orchestra/Band Information, Thanking Veterans, and Creating Avatars... Out of order!
I am not sure why the pictures always upload out of order, but I am going with the flow.
On Friday, we explored a new creation app/website called Pixton.
We created our own avatars.
With this app/website, we can create our own comics.
The kids got a kick out that they all were taller than me for the class photo. :)
We are learning new mindfulness strategies.
These help us to "get back in the green zone" during the school day so we are ready to learn!
Ms. Schippers came to our room to teach us about credible resources for researching.
She also gave us strategies for how to search for specific items on Google.
We learned how to find information on the bird "eagle" and not the band or football team.
We stopped by the 5th grade inquiry fair on Friday.

4th graders went to the MPR to learn about band/orchestra with Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Friel.

Our Share Something Great is one of my favorite times of the day.
I realize, though, that my memory is fading.
I am going to have to take notes next time to remember all of the great things kids are sharing!
4th graders at Kipling made Thank You notes for Veterans.
I was able to drop them off at the local VFW in Gurnee on Wednesday.
Disaster Research Projects!
The kids worked in small groups to research weather and natural disasters.
Each student focused on a subtopic to research and present.
