This week we completed our first science experiment with the Twist-O-Matic Tester. We discovered that the thick rubber band can store more energy and can make the rollercoaster complete more spins at a higher speed. Ask your 4th grader what they learned about energy! We shared our writing with a partner and learned how to give feedback. We read a picture book called Ruby's Wish. "Ruby is unlike most little girls in old China. Meet the 4th Grade Team: Ms. Karasick Mrs. Kraus Ms. Buchman Mrs. C  Here we go! After completing a 4th Grade getting to know you project, we paused to take a class picture! We are stepping out of our comfort levels and sharing our work with classmates. Our class is working on building our reading stamina. We set a goal of 10 minutes and blew it out of the water! Our class was able to read with focus for 15 minutes. WOOHOO! Gianna (my daughter) found this cool origami project this summer. We gave it a try! Check out our creature bookmarks! We are learning how to type like grown-ups (using the home row) with our new typing website called: typing.com This is a resource your 4th grader can practice outside of school. Ms. Schippers and Ms. P took us on a tour of the LMC. We were able to check out books! Our class took some time to cozy up with our books and READ. What a great first week!
