Incredible Opportunity, Share Something Great, and CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) Time!

Wow! Our class received an amazing invitation from the DPS109 school district to present at the October school board meeting on October 28th.  We are beyond excited to share about what we are doing with our pen pals from France, our class Tweeter, and Share Something Great Fridays! We love learning about our classmates and what they enjoy doing outside of school. Share Something Great gives us an opportunity to see incredible passions and could possibly give us a spark to try something new! dance moves back bends creating and sharing poetry reflecting on time with family sharing a penny flattening experience sharing upcoming events showcasing piano playing showcasing a drumming performance in a band sharing a flight simulating opportunity sharing experiences with friends and siblings sharing upcoming opportunities We are also joyful because we filled up our "Put Up Jar!" Out of Order: Multiplication Strategies, Reading and Writing Celebrations, and Choose Your Own Adventure!

Our letters made it to our pen pals in France! We are so excited to see who got our letters. In the upcoming weeks, we hope to learn a phrase or two in French, receive our first letters from our pen pals, and set up a Skype with their class!  They are 7 hours ahead of us so our Skype would be before 9 am!  I hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful fall colors outside this week.  This is one of my favorite places to walk in the fall near my house. Ms. Schippers shared with us some popular books that were once banned. The kids were surprised to hear why many of the books were banned! Our October calendar is up and running from our Events Coordinator. She will be adding other important events in the days to come. These are pictures from France.
